Nothin'

I have a question for all of you ladies out there who've already had babies. Did you have any sense in the day(s) before your babies were born that your time was coming? I'm a little over 37 weeks along here, and for far I've got nothing. I haven't felt a single contraction, not even a little Braxton Hicks. I haven't felt any of the signs of labor on the list stuck to my fridge. Truly, I am happy to keep these babies baking for as long as I can. Overall, my body has done really well with this pregnancy thing, and I'm still fairly comfortable. But I'm starting to get a bit impatient, wondering when these babies plan on arriving.

Lol I did but that's because I took castor oil with both of my girls. ;-)

I was blissfully unaware. maybe i was a bit in denial as well. with liz her braxton hicks got closer and closer as the weeks progressed. enjoy your moments of quiet and nights of uninterupted sleep (except for having to pee)- something wonderful and wild is just around the corner!

i went into labor on a saturday. on that thursday right before, i started feeling really tired and just not myself. i also felt sick. kinda like i had ate too much of something, but not sick enough to toss my cookies.

it was a weird sensation that i didn't experience before. on that day, i told my boss that i didn't think i was going to make it in on that friday. yes, as a crazy loon, i worked up to a day before i went into labor.

on that friday, i was too tired to go to work, and didn't. still felt that same sensation. saturday morning, went into labor. so about 24-48 hours prior is when i started feeling a little weird...

I was at work all day the night I went into labor! I had been having some BH and some little squirts of fluid for a couple of weeks. And at my ob appt a few days before I was 3 cm & 80% effaced. But no real sense from an intuition standpoint.
Hope it's soon--can't wait to hear all about your birth!

I was miserable, achy, hot, swollen, itchy, and having BH's for weeks before I went into labor. I worked full days in the office until my due date (a Tuesday) and then worked from home after that (on the couch with feet up to help reduce swelling). So that was a full work week on the couch. I had a membrane sweep at the midwife on the following Tuesday evening (1 week past due date) and went into labor in the early hours of Wednesday. Who knows when I would've gone into labor on my own!

I hope yours is a lovely dramatic gush of waters breaking at 8am and baby born 12-18 hours later.

I didn't expect it at all. I was out doing things, having parties over at our place, etc. The only thing that made me think something might be happening was because of the bloody show about 24 hours before I went into labor.

So excited for you!!

Funny, but it seems like your pregnancy is ending much as it began. You wrote about how it was over, went out and got a new dog, and then found out that you had (at that time) 3 babies growing and had no idea! Now, they are days away from their debut and you are feeling just as clueless. I'm glad pregnancy has been so good for you and I'm very looking forward to reading about their arrival.

Sorry, I am of no help at all, I was induced with both of mine.
I am just waiting to hear that they've safely arrived and everyone is well!

PS I can't leave comments on any Blogger blogs under my Wordpress ID. Not sure what is going on! I'm just hoping people recognize the witch, lol.

No help here on the labor signs. Baby wouldn't budge. But, now that I'm on the other side I say: get a really good pedicure, have a glass of wine, take really long showers and let go of everything you might be holding onto. You'll do beautifully. I am SO excited for you guys. This pregnancy flew by- for me. Haha. All our best for a safe and healthy delivery.
